Due to popular demand, a 2nd endition of the MOOC was prepared. Feedback demonstrated a high level of self-reflection among the participants, who also articulated the added value of the course in terms of support to their studies and profession. This proves that the course has inspired new action in this area of human rights, and globally sustained professionals, including educators and researchers, in their daily work.

This MOOC hit a niche area that sparks a lot of interest and where opportunities for creating impact are huge. For the first time, we had many participants from the business world. Despite the very intensive nature of this MOOC, participants not only were eager to study in depth, but also to share their questions and experiences with the MOOC community, and to share the courseware with their staff/co-workers.

This course, which features young activists from different regions of the world, was very successufl among youth: 40% of the participants were aged 19-24, and 11% were under 18 - definitely an audience committed to changemaking. Among the most frequent comments: participants plan to use the MOOC's materials to carry out professional tasks such as designing, monitoring and evaluating development projects.

Report( 2020-11) Melchiorre, Angela ; Pegoraro, ManuelaIn this short report on the MOOC "Children Deprived of Liberty: Enacting the recommendations of the UN Global Study" you will read about the demographics of the audience, feedback on the courseware, what was most liked, and recommendations for improvement. As a follow-up to the MOOC "Children Deprived of Liberty: Learning from the UN Global Study", this MOOC was research-based as it was heavily informed by the work developed by the students of the Global Classroom 2020. Participants demonstrated a high level of appreciation of the course and described it as very relevant for professionals dealing with children.

This was a unique MOOC that was launched simultaneously with the UN Global Study on Children Deprived of Liberty, therefore attracting a lot of interest. Unique insights from the lead author, Prof. Manfred Nowak, and the experts who helped gather data, testimonies and analysis were deemed of the highest value by course participants.

Report( 2021-03) Melchiorre, Angela ; Pegoraro, Manuela ; Grelow, WeronikaIn this short report on the MOOC "Children’s Rights and Technology in the Digital Age" you will read about the demographics of the audience, feedback on the courseware, what was most liked, and recommendations for improvement. This was one of the highest rated Global Campus MOOCs, which included top-notch lecturers (e.g. Edward Snowden, Right Livelihood Laureate) and inspiring, weekly engagement by the three MOOCs academic directors. Many participants enrolled with a double or even triple role (parent, professional, activist/volunteer/’active citizen’), which makes this audience possibly one of the most committed ever.

Report( 2020-06) Melchiorre, Angela ; Pegoraro, ManuelaIn this short report on the MOOC "Promoting and Protecting Human Rights: a Global Overview" you will read about the demographics of the audience, feedback on the courseware, what was most liked, and recommendations for improvement. Participants valued learning about other continents and their human rights traditions, achievements and challenges, i.e. beyond the 'usual' UN and EU narratives on human rights. Complementing materials on standards and mechanism, with witness interviews on focus areas (e.g., memory, reconciliation, sexuality, disability, etc.) was considered as an added valued.

Report( 2022-02) Melchiorre, Angela ; Pegoraro, Manuela ; Grelow, WeronikaIn this short report on the MOOC "Socio-Economic Justice through Human Rights" you will read about the demographics of the audience, feedback on the courseware, what was most liked, and recommendations for improvement. The audience was very satisifed with this course because of its structure, presentation, “robust” and “tremendous” materials, “excellent” recorded and live lecturers addressing current matters, and supportive and approachable course conveners. The MOOC was deemed very important as professional training, as it allowed participants to understand the status of the discussion at the international level.
