Abstract

Forward with Hope: Creative Responses to Anti-Gender Movements explores the rise of anti-gender movements and their impact on gender equality, sexual and reproductive rights, LGBTIQ+ rights and broader human rights through a collection of artistic, journalistic and literary contributions. Bringing together perspectives from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Chile, the publication examines shared challenges while highlighting the role of dialogue, creativity and hope-based communication in responding to polarization. Developed in the framework of the Global Campus Alumni Cross-Regional Projects 2025–2026, it reflects the value of cross-regional collaboration in addressing contemporary human rights issues. Combining essays, investigative journalism, visual art, photography, creative writing and personal narratives, the publication offers diverse perspectives on resistance, solidarity and human dignity. It demonstrates how storytelling and cultural expression can foster critical reflection, encourage meaningful dialogue and strengthen human rights advocacy across different social, political and cultural contexts. Intended for researchers, educators, students, journalists, artists and civil society practitioners, Forward with Hope serves as a resource for understanding contemporary anti-gender movements and promoting constructive, rights-based responses to discrimination and exclusion.
