Abstract
This photobook captures the lived realities of children in flood-affected Sirajganj, Bangladesh, along the Jamuna River. Using powerful imagery and personal testimonies, it highlights the impact of river erosion and climate change, forcing children into labor, caregiving, and survival roles—often at the expense of education and well-being. It reveals challenges like inadequate infrastructure, limited healthcare, and exclusion from disaster planning, urging a child-centered approach to protect their rights. The project includes contributions by Dr. Mst Umme Habiba Fahmina Karim, Shobhajit Chowdhury, Atiqur Rahaman Shadhin, Ronald Okiring, Uulzhan Bekturova, and Saniyat Turjo, coordinated by GC-RLC Human Rights Working Group (July 2025). It calls for inclusive policies and community support to safeguard every childhood.
