MOOC “Promoting and Protecting Human Rights: a Global Overview”. Report

Abstract

In this short report on the MOOC "Promoting and Protecting Human Rights: a Global Overview" you will read about the demographics of the audience, feedback on the courseware, what was most liked, and recommendations for improvement. Participants valued learning about other continents and their human rights traditions, achievements and challenges, i.e. beyond the 'usual' UN and EU narratives on human rights. Complementing materials on standards and mechanism, with witness interviews on focus areas (e.g., memory, reconciliation, sexuality, disability, etc.) was considered as an added valued.
